Coors Brewery Tour

I looked for posts already on this, but they seemed old and outdated as the online website now says that the tour is a self guided tour. Can anyone tell me their experience of this tour and about how long the visit takes? Thanks!

I haven't gone on the newer self-guided tour, but the article in the link below says they last about 35 minutes, and I understand they still give out the free beer samples, which was the highlight of the old tours, anyway!

We went last August and had a great time! You start in the parking lot, get on a Coors bus and then "tour" the town a bit as they drive you to the tour itself. You get dropped off, go in and get a headset. Then you walk through listening at your own pace. There is a tasting too....soda and beers. Then you get back on a bus and go back to your car. Excellent tour and I am not even a beer drinker. I highly recommend it. Plus Golden is just an incredibly charming town.

three years ago it was guided and was good but I could see how it could work as a self guided (more places are switching to self guided I've noticed) and it's a worthwhile stop/location so enjoy. Golden is a nice area. We enjoyed the train museum in town too while there.
