Vail in Late October

My wife and I are planning a trip to Vail in late October. We know it's off-season, but are we going to be able to find places to shop/eat/do stuff, or would it be best to find another place to go?

It actually is an intruiging time to visit as there will be no crowds and no need for reservations at restaurants. That time of year, the restaurants normally run fantastic "off-season" specials for us locals that visitors really love. 2 for 1 dinners, tasting menus, specialty nights> Dining will be great!

Shopping: You may find some smaller shops have limited hours but most everything stays open now-a-days.

Weather: We usually start getting our snow late October so watch the forecasts & pack accordingly!

You will enjoy the peace and quiet offered that time of year!

It is typically a nice time, although quite. Depending on weather you'll have a few activities and as noted above the dining specials are great at that time. Most spas and other activities are discounted as well.

not too bad but the wx starts to get kind of chilly/ rainy and the leaves are off the trees...it's actually kind-of an ugly time of year in terms of how beautiful vail is...as locals...we tend to holiday that time of year...i'd choose another time if you really want to experience vail at it's best...or plan to stay in vail for a couple of days and then move on to aspen maybe...or spend some time in the lodo district of denver...

as for activities in vail that time of year...not really...hiking and biking is about it but no events...
