Grocery shopping in Vail

So I'm coming to Vail this weekend for Spring Back to Vail and closing day. I am super excited because there has been great snow the past few weeks and it looks to be an excellent time for skiing.

We are staying at the Marriott, which is in Cascade Village. Is there a good market/deli type place to get some of the basics (bread, lunchmeat, cereal, etc) nearby. I hate buying food on mountain and would prefer to just backpack lunch.

Thanks so much and we'll see ya this weekend!

There are two major chain grocery stores in West Vail: Safeway & City Market (aka Kroger in other parts of the country)

We are getting a BLIZZARD right now> more snow all week. What fabulous April snow> the best EVER.
