Photography in the Farmington Valley?

What are some great sites to photograph (landscape, architecture, roadside oddities) in the Farmington Valley? I have a few hours in the afternoon to take pictures (1 day only, possibly a few minutes on the second day).

Thank you both!! Very helpful. Where are the tobacco fields, or the best places to photograph them?

I'd go across the river to Gillette Castle.....

The road there , the castle itself and its rear balcony will offer a lot of views.

There are a lot of smaller places with views--but quite hard to give directions to.

The large Connecticut river also has a real nice shot of the old bridge. From most places you'll be looking North to it. Also other views of the river along Route 9-which runs along the river.

This would be a day trip for you...but the pictures would be very interesting.

They tobacco fields are north of Hartford. Look for a route off of I-91 that runs near the Connecticut river. Granby and Windsor are towns that are in this area.
