Mohegan Sun to Mystic

I will be in the Mohegan Sun in mid-May for a conference, no car. Is there anything to do in Mystic at night and what are my transportation options during the day & evening? If taxi, what is the cost? Thanks!

Hi Just1,

Mystic is a quaint town and is nice to visit during the day. In my opinion, not much going on at night.

You are much better off at the casinos (Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods) at night. At the casinos there is entertainment, bars and restaurants.. and you can easily find something to do.

As for transportation options, I am not sure if there is a bus or anything, lets see if someone from Mystic answers you here. Mystic is about 30 minutes from the casino.

What are you interested in seeing/doing? Maybe I can help better.

Thanks for your quick reply! I was interested in seeing the Aquarium maybe a winery but I couldn't tell it that was in another direction. I am not much of a gambler.

I am assuming the Mohegan doesn't have a car rental place onsite where I could do a one day rental?

Thanks again!

if you have time during the day, the pequot museum at foxwoods is very enjoyable, it is open wed to sat to 4 pm and the last admission is 3 pm, foxwoods is about 10 miles away down route 2a and a cab is about $25. mohegan transportation services is 888 320-4577, to reserve limo and airport transportation, they may be able to help you rent a car,
