High Limit Slots@ Mohegan Sun

I'm a longtime player of $5, $10, and $25 slots at Mohegan.

I usually go twice a month and would love to have an ongoing dialogue about favorite machines, those that routinely pay off, and those that seem to never pay!

Let's get something going so any of us that play the high limits can leverage our chances by knowing what's been hitting, and what hasn't.

I am wondering if you'd have any advice about the $5, multi-line reel slots in the Earth high limits room at Mohegan?

I've played them very occasionally, with mixed results. The versions they have include Triple-Double Butterflies, Triple-Double Blazing Sevens, and a few others.

I think you can play as many as 9 lines ($45) per spin...any thoughts about them you can share?

Thanks!

If you got the white box promotion -- no bonus filter or coffee packs were included there. Brought it home - set it up - and ---- no coffee!!!

Mohegan play in February...

Was at Mohegan last Saturday (02/14/10), mainly to collect 250 player's points being given away at a cash drawing in the Ballroom.

I learned someone had won the $1million+ progressive on a $5 Wheel of Fortune in Sky!

Plus, in Wind, someone won the $1million progressive on a penny "Time Machine" video slot.

I had mixed luck - wnet primarily to collect the points, then headed over to the newly remodeled migh limit room at MGM Grand.

I think the new high limit room is just awful. They removed so many machines, and replaced them with a lot of $1 video slots. In the entire room, there is only 1 $5 Double Diamond machine!

I did get a $2,500 jackpot on the $5 Double Top Dollar machine, on a bonus round.

But I there are only 2 $10 machines in the entire room, and just one $25 machine (Wheel of Fortune).

Thinking of going back to Mohegan this coming Saturday - I have a free-play coupon worth $300. and if I get there before 12:00 noon, they'll double it to $600 in free-play.

Hi Slotguy-

We too were there for the Sachem appreciation night. No luck either in the drawing or on the casino floor. However, when we left, the query jackpot sign stated over $35,000,000 in slot payouts. I guess the two progressive payouts helped that along! We played mostly in the Sky casino and were to lazy to talk over to the Earth casino. No other new offers besides slot play though.

Hi Mohegan Fan,

Thanks for the post - for as long as I've been attending those 'special' drawings and giveaways in the Ballroom, I've never won anything, either! But the player's points are a nice perk.

Thirty-five million? Wow! That's great! Any favorite machines that have been 'kind' to you over the years?

I too, was too lazy to walk over to Earth high limits. Though in Earth high limits, there is a 2-coin, $5, 2X3X4X5X machine that has been pretty consistent with wins for me. No jackpots, (yet!), but I can usually count on it to reward me with a lot of play time and so far, I've come out ahead every time I've played it.

BTW, have you viewed Mohegan's Facebook page? They have a "winners" page that has photos of current jackpot winners. For January '10, there are about 135 photos of various winners. Though it certainly doesn't show every single winner, you can see some machines with repeat winners within a given month. Fun.

it is funny that you mention the facebook page, because i notice a lot of winners who won more than six hundred less than a thousand, i know that on quarter machines that is a big hit, and results in a handpay, but i like to see the several thousand dollar hits, i guess high limit players are a little shy, the soaring eagle casino website shows people with thousand plus hits, and i think it is a good promotion, i have been hitting tropicana in ac recently for their variety of machines, hit $8,000 on a $25 double black tie, then $500 on a $100 black gold, was going to try 1 pull one credit on a $100 double triple diamond and on the first pull got two cherries for $500 and tried another pull and got triple bar, triple, triple for $27,000. did see someone get 3 five times pay on a $25 machine at harrahs for $250,000 and it was reported in the atlantic city press that a woman hit $400,000 on a $100 top dollar at the ac hilton. i think mohegan and foxwoods should ask expert players like you and me for our advice on what machines they should have LOL.

Hi -

Congratulations on your wins in AC! Great, great...

I agree with your view of Mohegan's Facepage winners - while it's great to see a broad spectrum of winners, how fun would it be to see more high limit wins? I'd think that at the very least, it would 'inspire' players who are on the bubble - meaning, $1 players who've considered moving up to $5 machines but haven't made that first step. And $5 players seeing the possibilities of playing $10 and $25 slots.

Are you planning to take advantage of Mohegan's Free Play tomorrow (02/20)? The Free Play is doubled if used before 12:00 noon...

Hi-

Ran to check mail today..it appears no great offers for the rest of the month other than slot play. It's probably time to scale back a bit and give it a rest. I like the fact that Mohegan includes their query jackpot number on the web site though...any time it goes over $20,000,000 makes you wonder what's hitting??!! Any offers come your way this week? And, do you know what it takes to hit Sachem and CLub Sachem level?

Hey Mohegan Fan -

I was there last Saturday, taking advantage of the "double your free play" offer by being there before 12 noon.

The place was jammed with people! I saw quite a few winners, too!

I played mostly in Earth High Limits - wanted to get onto one of the $25 Wheel of Fortunes, but they were being played constantly.

The biggest win I saw was for $100k, on a $5, 3-coin reel slot. It's one of those 'free spin' machines, located right beside the tiny host office in Earth high limits.

Regarding your question about Sachem membership. I don't know the exact player's standard for membership, though of course it is based upon play. In Mohegan, there are stand-alone kiosks where you can swipe your card to see what level you are currently at. This should give you a good sense as to where you are, and what you need to do to achieve a higher level.

If you're up to it, you could call Mohegan and ask to speak with any slot host and simply ask them!

You're right about offers in the mail - not a lot other than Free Play. Though over the weekend I received a $200 coupon good for the month of March at either Bar Americain, Michael Jordan's Steak House, or Tuscany. That's nice.

I'm planning to go to MGM Grand/Foxwoods on March 14th, for a 'Raymond Weil' watch giveaway.

But that's it for now....

Hi Slotuy-

Didn't make it down for the weekend but saw the huge query jackpot on the web site and figured they were hitting. Wow ~ someone hit a 100k on a $5 machine - you would have to pick me up off the floor.

We did get the food comp - loved Bobby Flay's restaurant in January. A bit more expensive, but well worth it. The comp helps too. Lvoed the Ribeye steak.

Got the Sachem calendar for the month of March and not a lot of offers penned it. Hope they add different events for the long dreary last month of winter.

Nothing from Foxwoods - haven't had any significant play there and don't even feel lucky there. We did get that offer a long time ago and the watch is very nice. Good luck there!
