Has anyone tried to get their points back

Last time we stayed at Mohegan Sun, the hotel used my points to pay the bill. I had marked on the checkout slip to use my credit card to pay the bill. Well, this visit was May 16th and I have been in touch with hotel billing 3 days after it happened and they said they would take care of it. As of today, June 4th, I still don't have my players club points back. It only took them seconds to use my points, but it seems to be taking an act of congress and weeks to get them back. Luckily I won't be needing them for dinner until the 23rd of June. Hopefully it will be taken care of by then. I called a few days ago and they said it should be taken care of this week. Has anyone else had this problem and is there an easier way to handle it? I went to a host first and they referred me to hotel billing.

We had the same thing happenat Foxwoods at veranda cafe. They double pointed mine and let me tell you it took many phone calls to numerous people to finally get them back inmy account. It was well over tendays before it happened. Good luck with it I wish you well.

Thank you RI. I talked to a host today and asked why it was taking so long. He said after I talked to hotel billing it had to go through 3 or 4 other departments before it could be approved. I can't believe it only took seconds to take them away and weeks to get them back. You'd think they would have an easier way to settle this kind of thing.

Getting them back requires a lot of paperwork to ensure that employees are "gifting" their friends unearned credits. It's a combination of Casino policy and Gaming Commission regulations.

Oohhh, thanks for that info. I'm still waiting and I will probably call hotel billing if I don't have them back by early next week. I appreciate that information though.

Well, I finally got my points back yesterday. Just in time to go to Mohegan this Tuesday. I will definately make sure they don't use my points again for our hotel stay.

Never, ever pay for a ROOM with points.

It is a far better deal to put it on a credit card

(like DISCOVER) that sometimes gives you BACK 5%.

Each point is worth, like $60 just to earn.

It's silly to spend what is worth thousands of dollars to pay for a (Casino Rate room)

Agree?

They love to steer you to do that, why?

You figure it out . . .

Ans: it's a clever way to get back their points.

Seems innocuous. It's in their favor, believe me.

Same thing happened to me a year ago. They took the whopping 50 points I accumalated over the years and added it to my hotel bill.

I know I clearly marked "pay with Credit Card" on the check-out slip.

SP103,

Bring it to their attention. It was wrong to do that

without your permission.

DEMAND the 50 points back, show the receipt and

buy something nice for yourself.

They'll probably give you some points for the

heartbreak.

Ask to speak to an Executive Host SHIFT MANAGER. They can perform miracles(trust me)

Don't back down......please . . . .do it.
