Girls Weekend!

A few girlfriends and I are looking to book a girls weekend. We were originally looking at Rehoboth, but after some researching, I am thinking Dewey Beach will be better for us. We are all in our late 20's, looking for good nightlife and good shopping. Will the nightlife spots be open/"hoppin" during May? Approx. middle of may?

Dewey and Rehoboth are contiquous. You can walk from Dewey to the Boardwalk if you care too. THere is also a trolley runs between Dewey and the bandstand in Rehoboth. Nightlife should be fine in Dewey then. Shopping would be better in Rehoboth or out on the highway outlets area. Great dining in Rehoboth. So you can't really lose with either location.

Used to visit Pittsburgh all the time for work. ALways liked walking around downtown. Even made it out to the strip for Primanti's a couple of times.

Your timing is great. All the bars & clubs you'd want to visit are open and gearing up for the start of the season.

No good shopping in Dewey, though. Boutiques, small independent shops in Rehoboth Beach downtown; outlets out on Highway 1. But Dewey shopping is pretty much beach chairs and t-shirts, and many of those shops won't open till Memorial Day.
