North Or South Of Pier 60?

Which is better for families? I heard that the south is better. Last time we vacationed at CWB we stayed south of the pier... So I'm not sure about the north side.

Is there really a difference?

Thanks!

Not much of a difference. It's the same strech of beach.

Yes I know it's the same stretch of beach ;-)

I'm asking about atmosphere... kid friendly.

I would say both areas are definately family friendly. The South Beach area seems a little busier, a little more traffic, more people walking around etc, as there are a few more hotels in that area. The Northern beach area is normally a little less crowded, and quieter on the beach, and streets.

I've always been a staunch North beach fan, but this year I stayed on the South side. I will be going back to the North side next year. I like it better because Palm Pavillion and Frenchy's are there; and it's got more of a residential feel because there aren't a lot of hotels...there are beach cottages...which is where I usually stay rather than a hotel/motel.

but, either way go can't go wrong on CWB!
