Hello! We've gone down to Clearwater Beach the past two years, and both times we stayed at the Hyatt. It can be a bit spendy, but the hotel is only a couple of years old, just across a tiny street from the beautiful beach, has a nice pool, a great kids club, is in a great location to walk pretty much everywhere you want to go, and the rooms have full kitchens too. The kitchens are great in order to save money on food...we always stock up on groceries after we check in (however, you'll definitely still want to go out for at least one meal per day at one of the many great restaurants in town!)

We're already planning next year's return trip! Let me know if you have any more questions.

All hotels will welcome families.

On the higher end, Hyatt, and the Hilton.

Middle priced, Pier House 60 Hotel.

Budget friendlier, Travelodge, Magnuson Hotel, Sea Captain Resort, Ritz Beach Motel.

Very easy walk from any of these to the beach, Pier 60, shops, restaurants, marina, everything! No car needed.

I highly recommend you look at the Palm Pavillion. It is a low/mid priced hotel basically on the beach. It is north of pier 60 so it is very quiet. Some of the other budget friendly hotels are south of pier 60 where it is much, much louder. The Palm Pavillion gives a AAA discount and is highly rated on Trip Advisor.

Let us know which hotel you pick.

Have a wonderful trip.

Hi,

Could you please tell me if the rooms at the Hyatt have a separate living area? I'm travelling with an 18 month old and want to be able to put him to bed and still have the light on in a different room!

Thanks!

Hi magicsammie! The regular rooms at the Hyatt don't have separate areas (although all rooms do have the kitchens), but you can always book a suite, and that way you'll be assured to have a separate bedroom for the baby to sleep in. We've been lucky both times that we've stayed at the hotel because we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge, and it WAS nice having that separate space for the kids to nap during the day, and then be put to bed at a decent time each night too.
