brown water??

I hear the water in Destin has been brown for the last few weeks. Is this the case at CWB? Thanks

I'm not currently in Florida - but I've never seen brown water on Clearwater Beach. We've spend a great deal of time in the area, and own a condo on Sand Key, so take frequent trips. Hopefully someone in the area will write in and comment on the current conditions.

It's currently dark in FL, so I can't vouch, but this site: http://www.beachtourism.com/pier.htm

has live feeds of Clearwater Beach. Should ease your mind.

Water is usually a darker color in this area, meaning it is not crystal clear caribbean post card blue. But I wouldn't call it brown. More of a darker green/blue.

It's too bad you are so angry about our beach Aug1e, after one day at the beach. We've had storms in the Gulf which do churn up the water and can bring in seaweed. We own a condo on Sand Key and spend much of the winter on Clearwater Beach and we have made summer trips. We've never seen the water quality that you describe - and we are hearty Canadians that swim in the water all winter.

I find it strange Aug1e that you have chosen to write 8 terrible posts on our forum, but have never written on any other forums and have written no reviews.

I think you have definitely made your point.

Now Clearwater will probably be overrun with tourists from Osaka.

Give me a break. It's an ocean, governed by winds and tides, not a manicured, sterile pool.

One day and you're so upset you need to make all these attitude-laden posts because God didn't keep the ocean clean enough for your standards?
