Clearwater Beach Area Wedding

Does anyone know where to find a less expensive place/venue for a small wedding? It can be across the street from the beach, sometime those are more affordable. A simple wedding on the beach, maybe at the most 50 ppl with a bar and appetizers? Everything I've found so far is way too expensive or just a motel. Any suggestions for Clearwater Beach area?

Not really sure exactly what these places offer as far as accomodating a separate, or private group. But you may want to look at the Sheraton Hotel on Sand Key. I know they host weddings, have banquet/private rooms, and do catering, if that is what you are looking for.

http://www.bonappetitweddings.com/ does weddings on Sand Key, and host receptions.

www.cooters.com , and Frenchy's Salt Water Cafe are a block or so off the beach, have great food and drinks, but not sure if they have a private room, or can partition off an area, but somewhere to check. http://www.jimmysfishhouse.net/

http://www.thebrownboxer.com/ Scroll all the way down, they list that they host private parties.

Congratulations! I hope you find something that works for you.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Unfortunately I have no experience with weddings on Clearwater Beach. My only suggestion would be an informal wedding in Sand Key Park. It is a much quieter area than Clearwater Beach. You could have chairs set up on the beach and hold your wedding beachfront. I can't think of a lovlier setting for a wedding. You might want a backup plan in case the weather was not ideal.

You could always hold an informal reception in one of the local restaurants - or even an outdoor picnic. Time of year would be important for this idea to work. I don't know if the Columbia Restaurant would let you host a reception in their restaurant - but it is located across the street from Sand Key Park and has lovely views of the intracoastal waterway. They also have a lovely covered patio area that just might fit all your guests if you want the reception outside - or needed to move the actual wedding under cover.

Other brides have posted on this forum with suggestions for wedding planners. The following thread would have suggestions for your special day. tripadvisor.ca/ShowTopic-g34141-i132-k660017…

We have seen a couple of weddings on Sand Key Beach but can't give you any info I'm afraid. I do know they do weddings at the Sheraton Hotel on Sand Key, as they have a big marquee on the beach in front of the hotel.
