Rain Rain go away...Hurricane Arthur effects

Looks like a rainy week ahead....past experience with the east coast based forecasts and how it affects the gulf? Today is my last day to cancel with no penalties...

Little affect from Arthur here. Just the 50/50 chance of later afternoon rains. Normal weather for this time of year.

If it rains, does it matter if you are in the water anyway? Just make sure there isn't any lightning. It is very common to have rain in the summer throughout the entire state. It usually lasts only a couple of hours unless a tropical system is involved. Arthur effects? www.weather.gov

If you read a bit, you will see how far away it will be by this weekend and up past Canada by Tuesday.

50% is normal from about mid June, through October or so. Sometimes it'll lower to 30%, sometimes go up to 80%. 50% doesn't mean it will rain 12 of the 24 hours. Just means that there is a chance that half the area will get any amount of rain that day. Often it is half the area getting rain for an hour or two. Then it dries up and is sunny again. Sometimes it is mostly inland rains, sometimes along the coast. Depends where the West and East coast sea breezes collide over the state.
