Boardwalk Condos vs. Sandcastle Condos

How is the beach in these two places? How crowded will it be in July? What about the surrounding places? Are the condos in safe areas? Thanks in advance for any help!

First, both condo complexes are in safe areas, as Cocoa Beach is fairly free of any serious crime. The Boardwalk is located in downtown Cocoa Beach, fairly close to some active bars, so noise can be a problem later at night, and there may be some drunk people wandering the beach after dark. Sandcastles is farther north away from the active bars.

The beach is equally nice in both areas, and the federal government just did an extensive beach "renourishment" project throughout Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach. Downtown beaches around the Boardwalk can be very crowded on July weekends. There are some public beaches near Sandcastles that also get crowded, but I'd guess there will typically be more room to spread out up that way.

Finally, the Downtown area has many restaurants, smoothie bars, ice cream/snow cone places and a few little shops, all within easy walking distance from the beach. The area around Sandcastles is more spread out, so such places may be a longer hike or a short car ride.

Enjoy your trip!
