Nascar museum. Dog tracks one evening. There are numerous putt putt courses. Check around for good coupons because it's expensive!

There is so much to do on the beach itself that will keep them entertained. Body surfing in the ocean and sandcastles are free:)

Depending on when you are going to be there, we are looking into going to one of the minor league baseball games-the Daytona Cubs. Tickets are only $7.

Daytona Cubs is the best deal around. They have special during the night on hot dogs, etc. and price is right to get in. The general admission price gets you into the grandstand but we always just walk into the reserved area and no one ever says anything.

The Museum of Arts and Sciences would be good for the 13 year old. It looks as though the Ground Sloth display (an excellent one) was ruined by flooding, but if nothing else, the old Coke machines are wonderful.

We just returned from Daytona Beach and we had a couple of 13 yr old boys in our group. Their favorite thing was riding boogie boards in the ocean. We picked up a couple of the boards at the beginning of the week for about $10 each, and they certainly got their money's worth out of them. After several days of body surfing, they wanted to try renting a surfboard. There was a vendor on the beach renting them for $10 per hour - and an hour was all it took to wear them out! But they loved it! They both got up a time or two before the hour was up -- that was very exciting for them! and it was exciting for us to watch too. We stayed at the Wyndham Ocean Walk, and they liked the late night pools and hot tubs there and made some friends during the week. They actually liked the flea market too - lots of cheap souvenirs. We all got t shirts for $1.88. I would not waste your money on the great seafood restaurants... my boys were just as happy to make a sandwich and get back to the beach/pool. My husband & I enjoyed some of the area restaurants without them and they didn't care a bit! Saved some $ that way.
