Rain this week?

Coming down in the morning.....looks like 50% chance of rain for the next few days? What's it look like down there? Overcast? Is this just the typical chance of rain or is there rain coming in? Thanks!

1. Re: Rain this week?

Florida has a subtropical climate.

That means we have a dry season (October-May) and a rainy season (June-September).

During the rainy season (as the name would suggest) there's usually a 30-40% chance of showers and/or thundershowers every day.

It doesn't rain all day -- but a shower lasting about an hour is pretty much normal for this part of the world, almost every day.

It's okay, though -- it cools things off and knocks the humidity back a little, which makes the evenings fairly pleasant, and it usually comes just about the time it's time to head back to the hotel for a libation, a nap, a shower, or some combination of any or all of these.

HuneyB - The weekend was almost a washout, but starting today, we are forecast to return to the more typical summertime weather pattern, Hot, Humid, and about a 30 to 40% chance of rain every day...
