Harbour Beach Marriott - where to eat?

I shall be staying at the HB Marriott for one night, pre cruise with 2 teenagers. Can anyone give me any info. regarding the in house restaurants - very expensive? Do we have to cab it to eat elsewhere. How far to the Port?

The hotel restaurant, 3030 Ocean, is excellent. It isn't cheap (entrees average $24) but then most reasonable restaurants in Fort Lauderdale are in this price bracket. They do excellent fish but offer other meat options for those not into seafood. You would have to cab elsewhere for dinner - and cabs aren't that cheap in Fort Lauderdale. Shula's on The Beach is a short walk from the Harbor Beach Marriott, which is a popular steak place. You could also walk to the intracoastal and catch a water taxi to Charley's Crab or one of the many fine restaurants on the Intracoastal waterway. This might be a nice fun thing to do, but since you're cruising anyway, maybe overkill on the water!
