Water taxi question

Hi all,

Were going to be in fort lauderdale next week and are planning to use the water taxi one day. Were staying near the convention centre, i understand the nearest stop to us is the Hilton marina, is it just a case of taking a walk down to the Hilton, and its signposted/easy to find from there? Thanks in advance for your help!

It is very easy to get from the Convention Center to the stop at the Hilton Marina. There is a walkway that goes under 17th street which seperates the two areas. The last time we used this stop the pick-up spot was on the canal behind the Hilton, but has been on the Intracoastal Waterway at other times. The two locations are adjacent to each other. Not sure just where you are staying "near" the convention center but the area is easy to get around. Enjoy.

Your welcome. The HI Express is just a block and a half away basically. It is located by a busy intersection and you can cross over 17th St. either there or at a traffic light a half block further.

You don't have to cross 17th st - just walk east on the sidewalk in front of the HI - it brings you right to the water taxi stop under the bridge - the water taxi doesn't have a stop behind the Hilton Marina anymore .

Good to know Shuttlevanman. The water taxi site doesn't make it easy for visitors though, with not having clearer descriptions of each stop. The map on their site still shows the Hilton/convention center stop on the North side of 17th,by the Hilton.

Shuttlevanman - As JD3 said they don't make it easy to find the stops when they keep moving them without updating their web site at least. I've seen this stop at at least three different locations. Thanks for the update.

It's directly under the bridge now - It stopped at the tiki/pool bar in the hotel when it was the Marriott Marina

Last time I got on at that stop, maybe a year and a half ago, the pick up spot wasn't near the pool bar at all. It was to the far right of the property(looking at the Hilton from 17th). Seems like they change it around a lot. Even the name of the stop, Hilton/convention center,is going to confuse people, as they are on opposite sides of 17th.

It hasn't been at the pool bar since the property was a Marriott , 7 years ago !
