Is thre a cinema near the Galleria mall as we are staying at Doubletree Gallery One and would quite like to see a fim before it is released in the UK, but I have walking difficulties so can not venture very far away from the hotel.

The nearest to the Doubletree is the Gateway Cinema on East Sunrise Blvd. It is about two blocks west of the Galleria.

A larger cimema is the AMC Coral Ridge, which is at the Coral Ridge Mall at the corner of North Federal Hwy (US 1) and East Oakland Park Blvd. You will a taxi to get to it though, as it is a couple miles north of the Gateway Cinema.

There's a cinema (movie theatre) about 10 mins walk away called The Gateway. It's on Sunrise Boulevard (main road) across a bridge from Galleria Mall (head inland, away from the ocean). It's at the junction of US1 and Sunrise Boulevard (838).

The website gives what's on and screen times/show times.

There are some other cinemas about 3 miles away if you wanted to take a taxi.

While Gateway is only a couple of blocks from the west end of Galleria, Galleria itself is about 3 blocks long stretching west from the Doubletree, so I suspect you probably should plan on taxi for that as well if walking is an issue for you- and if 5 city blocks would be difficult-especially if you are not accustomed to the warmer Florida weather. You probably will have to be guided by where the movie is playing- Gateway I think only has 4 theaters and one often shows an 'art" type film- so you may not find your desired movie playing there. AMC Coral Ridge ( probably a $10 taxi ride) may be more likely to be showing it in one of it's 8 theaters.
