Post cruise hotel on the beach

We are returning from a cruise on 4/27 and would like to stay over 1 night. We will not have a car and prefer a hotel on the beach with easy access to the cruise port. Late checkout on 4/28 would be a plus. Any suggestions?

These are pretty good hotels that are really close to the port: Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale, or Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotel. Are you looking for something more cost efficient?

None of the hotels listed in the post above are on the beach as your post requested - they are a several blocks west of the beach closer to the Port - and most would not find the distance walkable unless they are experienced walkers .

The Sheraton Beach and Bahia Mar Doubletree are two that are on the beach or just across the street from it and are just a short ( $10 or so) taxi ride from the Port The Harbor Beach Marriott is in that same area s well and directly on the beach but would be more expensive . Best Western Oceanside is a more moderately priced hotel but you need to walk down the side of one building of the Sheraton Beach to actually get on the sand.

I think any of those may be what you can look at. There are a few other choices a bit further up the beach maybe a few dollars more by taxi from Port like Courtyard Beach.
