When is your spring break?

We will be in Ft. Lauderdale March 16 - 30th. Is your break one of these weeks? If so, say the 16th, I might back up the flight to arrive a couple of days earlier to miss probably a huge influx of people at the airport. Our break in Canada is Mar 9 - 16th.

1. Re: When is your spring break?

Despite it's former reputation as a Spring Break Mecca, only a fraction of the crowds that once came to Lauderdale still do. Spring Break was consciously run out of town over 20 years ago as a first step in improving Lauderdale's "Liquordale" reputation. While you'll definitely see some spring breakers, most have moved on to more welcoming cities like Cancun, Panama City, Daytona Beach and, much to the dismay of the locals, Key West and Miami's South Beach. Also, spring breaks are no longer confined to one or two weeks. Different schools release the hounds at different times over the course of roughly a month, mostly toward Easter, so no worries, especially at the airport, Spring Break tradition calls for partiers to drive rather than fly to their destination.

Well thanks!

Now I will go ahead and book the flight for the 16th. You've saved us some $ on accomodation since we now don't have to go down earlier!!
