Which one to stay in ?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help us ?

I'm planning a trip to Florida for 4 weeks at the beginning of April with my husband and 6 year old daughter, we are staying in Orlando for the first 2 weeks and are then planning on driving down the west coast to the keys then back up the east coast to florida for our return flight.

We have 2 weeks spare and nothing planned as yet !

Could anyone recommend where is worth visiting ? We want to stay in the keys for some of the time but which one and for how long ?

Where is best to stay in Miami ? And what other places along our route from Orlando is worth visiting ? Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks Gracie

Personally, I like South Beach (Miami) and the middle keys best. I would definitely recommend stopping in the Everglades (Shark Valley or Anhinga Trail), at Robert is Here fruit stand, and Robbie's in Islamorada along the way. I would also spend at least a full day in Key West - SO different from the other keys and all are worthy of some time and attention. Don't fail to make a visit to Bahia Honda for a "beach" day.
