Souvenir Shop?

My kids are wanting some souvenirs (on a budget)...any good place in the area to visit? (t-shirts, shells, etc...nothing too pricey)

There are a few shops in the Historic District of Fernandina Beach. The have T-shirts, sharks teeth, shells, and other ocean related items that are very reasonable. Two of the shops have Koi tanks out front that the kids love to watch. The fish will come right up to the top, but there is No feeding them. I think a Pirate is also out front. Many pirate items are also available. Good Luck!

The shops on Centre Street mentioned by TrippleTime are good locations run by locals. There is also a beachwear shop on Sadler Road between Citrona and 14th Street that sells the normal touristy Tshirts and beach novelties. Be sure to have your kids go shark tooth hunting along the beaches on the northern part of the Island. They will make great souverniers and best of all, they are free. One our our nieces found a decent sized fossized sharks tooth and had it made in a necklace.

Thanks for the suggestions. We have found some shark teeth...very neat. Webbsue, we are on the northern end of the island and have found some as we have walked toward the pier. I have heard low tide is the best time...they have all been right at the water's edge.

Awesome....we are staying up that way too, rented a house. This is a first trip to Amelia and we are pretty excited to see if it is something we will enjoy. Its not our typical type of vacation. So we were nervous in the beginning....but now we just cant wait to get there!!!
