Weather in Key West

We will be in Key West next Thursday (as a port stop on our cruise) and weather.com is stating there could be rain that day. While it is still over a week out, please advise if showers move quickly through the area.

I'm not a local so probably can't advise as well as they can but we were there for a week and it seemed as tho the showers sometimes came and went quickly or else stayed longer.

One local boater told us that the waters become turbulent when cruise boats come in which can have an effect on the air currents above the surface too and may in turn have an impact on weather patterns.

The rain does tend to move quickly over the islands, unless it is part of a cold front.

The idea that the cruise ships coming and going affect our weather is ludicrous.
