Fun Restaurant on drive back from Keys to Miami

Hope you can help. I am looking for a casual, fun, good food place, to stop & eat 1/2 way back from the ride from the Keys to Miami. Would like a deck to eat out on.

Thx again!

Keys Fisheries, Sparkys or Burdines. All located in Marathon. All have good food and outdoor seating.

We like Porkys..and especially "The Snapper" around MM 104...Renii likes The oysters Moscow...right on the water with tarpon swimming around...and always stop at "The Mutineer" Near Florida city.

We stopped at Lorelei's on Islamorada (mm82) when we were driving from Ft Lauderdale to Miami last year. It was a really cool place and had a great deck. We did not eat there, but they did have ice cold Corona's.

Added bons, they had on the Weather channel and were showing a story about one of the blizzard snowstorm up in Illinois, which we had just left. Great cell phone reception to send pictures back to all the suckers left in the snow!

Island Grill in Islamorada. Bet you drive past it without finding it, I did. Twice!

Turn off the highway at Hog Heaven (oceanside) and parallel the highway to the northeast into the parking lot.

Islamorada is just about half-way back up the keys. I like to stop at the Lazy Days restaurant around MM81. Just as you cross a bridge (one of many), you will see Bud and Mary's marina (hanging shark) on the right. Lazy Days is also on the right, just past the marina (yellow sign if I recall).

Sit out on the balcony, overlooking the ocean. Order Conch fritters and Kalik beer. If you are having a seafood dinner, ask for it to be prepared "Lasy Days" style. You won't be disappointed.

Hi Lavi6,

We had a nice lunch at The Big Chill in Key Largo, they have a great deck out back... the food was good and the view was lovely.

Cheers!

In Marathon, I'd suggest Sparky's Landing.

In Islamorada, Lazy Days is GREAT, we like Hog Heaven over the others. Lor-E-Lei WAS a must stop, but the service has been less than adequate. The food at Islamorada Fish Market is average at best. The view is awesome though.

Alabama Jacks is also a neat spot to stop.

My husband and I stopped at Wahoo's in Islamrada last year on the way back. Great food and stunning view!
