I've never wagered on racing either on races in Florida or on races while I was in Florida - but this may be a start. It's a list of tracks and the regulatory organization. Might be worth a phone call.

If the bar isn't offering a bet, ask if you can start one. I see that happen a lot.

bigg586,

Nope. If you want to get in on the real odds, you have 2 options:

1. If you're driving to Key West from either Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, swing by Calder and place your bet there before proceeding to Key West:

www.calderracecourse.com/visit/directions

2. If you're from NYC, Nassau or Suffolk County, you can set up an online wagering account with your respective OTB office:

NYC OTB online wagering

Nassau OTB online wagering

www.nassauotb.com/

Suffolk OTB online wagering

NYC-OTB is bankrupt and is ending all operations on Sunday so barring a miracle your not betting there.
