Thats a Mayland thing, not florida as far as I know and not in KW that I've seen. Our crabs are stone crabs and we crack the claws and eat them. They usually sell by the pound, not the bucket.

B.O.s on caroline. Conch shack on Petronia and Hurricane Hole on Stock Island would be my picks. I don't enjoy conch republic or SWB for food, drinks only. Alonso's at downstairs at A&B also has excellent fish and good happy hour prices.

BO's for good casual seafood and atmosphere - you asked for seafood shack, this is it!

Half Shell Raw Bar for..... raw bar (71 days until we eat our weight in raw oysters and shooters!!!)

Hogfish for great food (call ahead if you want hogfish - it ain't always available)

for future reference, you can get Blue crabs ont he west coast of Fl.

Dont; know a lot of places that sell them Maryland style ( Iam frm there) but you can catch them in the rivers, estuaries and marinas and I cook them there myslef w/ Old Bay. And I can buy them from some places like The Fishery in Placida.

Jersey Blues are a New Jersey specialty.

Anyway, Alonzo's has an appitizer of a bucket of spicy steamed littlenecks which are half-priced during happy hour. You can order either 12 or 18. These are a nice change from the more usual oysters or peel-your-own shrimp. These, with a Key West sunset ale (2 actually), are a favorite of mine.
