Help needed...

I will be flying into Miami and heading to Key West for a bachelor party. On our drive out to Key West we wanted to stop at 1 bar each on Key Largo, Islamoroda, and Marathon Key (or one other key).

What are the 3 must hit bars on the way to Key West?

Thank you

Key Largo = Caribbean Club or Alabama Jacks (altho AJ's is before Key Largo). Islamorada = Hog Heaven or Lor-e-Lei and in Marathon (well, Key Colony Beach) Sparky's!

I agree with Carribean Club and Sparky's, but in Islamorada we drive by Hog Heaven for Island Grill. Closer to Key West you could hit Boondocks, Mangrove Mama's and Geiger Key Marina.

All great choices have been mentioned.

In Islamorada, Pick Island Grill for setting and if you're going to eat. Pick Lor-E-Lei if you're there for the sunset. Pick Hog Heaven if you want a sports bar type place. Ocean View is also a neat spot.

Sparky's in Marathon - for sure. Even better food than at island Grill.

If you stop at Boondocks, have the tuna appetizer -- WOW.

Mangrove Mamas is a neat stop. There is much more to the place than you can see from the road. I really like the bufallo conch.

Geiger Key Marina is also a neat out of the way spot. Not a lot of tourists find it.
