final ceremony

My mother who LOVED Key West passed away. My family wants to bring her ashes to Key West for a scattering at sea. Are there any companies that specialize in private charters for this sort of ceremony?

I think as Bonez said in his post. You could just charter a small boat out for sunset and scatter the ashes on your own. Maybe combine it with a sunset sail. We've gone out with Blue Ice, but there are many boats docked at the wharf for hire.

Like mike said - hire a private charter boat. Many of the fishing charter boats will do this and it wouldn't be the same fee as a fishing trip. Make it a sunset type thing and make the most of it. Or, if the boat has avl, do it mid day and have them take you out to one of the local sand bars or the like and have a picnic - make it a fun time if you can.
