Crowd levels over Thanksgiving

We are thinking of visiting Key West over Thanksgiving this year. Are the crowd levels typically manageable or should we avoid that particular holiday in our travels? Any good advice on where to go for Thanksgiving dinner should we decide to go? Thanks so much!

Totally manageable and pretty much every restaurant will be open, most with special thanksgiving day menus.

We've been there the last two thanksgivings and it was fine. We'll be there again this year. Finding reasonable airline prices seems to be the most difficult part about it.

My favorite Thanksgiving Dinner is at Cafe Marquesa. Once you have the turkey leg confit, you will be hooked!

We've done 3 of our last 6 Thanksgivings in KW, and it almost seems slow & quiet to us, it's great. We've had great luck traveling on turkey day to avoid a lot of the airport and traffic chaos, and our first night dinner tradition is Meson de Pepe just off of Mallory Square for Cuban food. Not the best Cuban food in town, but it's pretty good, great drinks, nice atmosphere and live music if you sit outside. Also just a short walk to Mallory Square for the sunset celebration. Enjoy your island holiday.

We were there last Thanksgiving and we will be there this year! I thought the biggest crowds were from the ships during the day. The nights were fairly quiet. We love it.

We aren't big on the "traditional" Thanksgiving dinner while om vacation, so we had dinner at Half Shell last year. Peel 'n eats on the water...something we can't get at home! :-)

You have to be careful traveling the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It's a big travel-day and it's not unusual for flights to start backing up.
