Dolphin Excursions

We won't be back to Key West until March, DAMN YOU KIDS SCHOOL SCHEDULE!!! We are making this trip a family trip with our 23yr old & our 4yr old. Looking for a fun, laid back dolphin watching excursion for all of us. I love to snorkel, so if that was part of the trip I wouldn't be opposed to it. We would love to be on a sailing catamaran but don't want to be jammed on a boat or on a boat that could turn into a party boat. Also, we aren't opposed to private charters.

Check out the Dolphin Echo.. It is a small catamaran... dolphin watching and snorkeling... very small group.. I think limited to 6-8 people..

It is one of our favorite excursions to do. http://dolphinecho.com/dolphin.htm

You'd also like Sunset Watersports Dolphin Watch. They leave from Sunset Pier, right by the bar. It's a small power boat, so it gets out there quickly and the captain will maneuver the boat to where the dolphins are, then kill the engine.

After about an hour you'll go over to a place to snorkel for about 1 hour. We saw schools of tarpon, barracuda and huge Rays.

...and then enjoy a nice ride back, with lots of sunset photos, if you do the afternoon boat.
