multi day kayak

Do any outfitters do planned multiday kayak trips out of key west?

What is best time of year for snorkelling and kayaking.

I like the spring and fall for either, although since kayakiing doesn't usually require you to get into the water, any time is nice. But since you can kayak around several of the mangrove islands and since many birds make their nests there, kayaking in the spring may allow you to see birds nesting or even feeding their young. I've seen nesting bald eagles at Mule Key and pelicans feeding their young at either Man or Woman Key, and Roseate Spoonbills someplace out there.

For snorkeling, after about April the water is warm enough that you can stay in for as much time as they give you, 50 - 60 minutes, without getting chilled and without a wetsuit. And the air is usually warm enough that you don'y get chilled afterwards.

You probably don't mean by mult-day, go out and come back on day 1, then go out and come back on day 2. This could be done easily.

But you probably mean go out and kayak then moor someplace for the night, then kayak another day. There aren't any regularly scheduled trips like this out of Key West, although there are boats who will do overnighters at the Tortugas and who could include kayaks. And you can rent kayaks, load them onto the Yankee Freedom and camp out out there, kayaking each day. Or you might be able to charter one of the smaller boats out of Key West and do an overnighter, sleeping on the boat. Potentials would be the Java Cat and the Echo II. But all of the above would be pricey.

You could do two separate trips on two different days. The chances of going out to a different place each time would be better then 50 - 50, and even going to the same place you would likely see different things. I do 2 - 3 kayak and snorkel trips on each visit to Key West and enjoy each of them. Different boats, different captains, even different crews all make for different trips.
