Staying with Children at the Hilton

Here's a couple of questions regarding staying at the Hilton with small children. ( 3 Months, 3 Year and 4 Years old )

1. Does anyone know if the Hilton offers babysitting service? And if so are they trustworthy, quality caregivers ??

2. How are the "children's activities" at the Hilton and can 3 and 4 year olds take part ?

3. We like to walk to restraunts when on vacation when possible instead of having to load up everyoone in the car. The concierge mentioned there was approximately 7 restraunts within walkable distance from the Hilton. Can anyone tell us if they are really walkable and if they are family friendly restraunts ?

Thanks!

Hi - sounds like you're going to have a great holiday... Q1/2 - our daughter was 8 when we first visited the hiton (not 16 abd still loves it there!) and she did go to the kids club.. There were lots of younger children there but cant remember if that young...

Q3 - lots of restaurants opposite the hotel in like a mall... also a cinema where you get get foods -which was quite a totally new concept for us on our first trip!

I would suggest contacting

She was really very helpful to us prior to our trip last year - or address an Email to Tina one of the concierge's.. this one is english - both of these should know about baby sitting service.. and Tina lives on the island so if the hotel doesnt provide - she may have a family friend.. you may not like this idea... not sure i would but thought i would suggest.

Hope you have a good time.. By the way there isnt a baby pool only the big one as shown in the hotel advert plus a spa whirl pool.

But then the sea is only a few yards away..

We've gone to Marco for years. We stay at the Marriott and walk down to the restaurants that are directly across the street from the Hilton. Every restaurant we've ever been to on Marco is kid/family friendly. We haven't been there for a while because our kids are older now, but Bimini's is very kid friendly. They have a supervised playroom that is within sight of the dinning room. So you can linger over a cup of coffee or another glass of wine while the kids are occupied and still within sight. When we went, the food and wait service was very good. Cathy O'Clark's is an Irish Pub with a very extensive menu. We go for the Lobster Fest (on Tuesdays I think) and our son loves their pizza. Captain Brien's has great seafood. When our kids were little, we'd stop at one of the beach shops and for a few dollars get cheap plastic beach toys (shovels, buckets, rings, etc.). When we had to leave we'd just give them to another family with little kids on the beach. The best money we ever spent on the island. Have a great time!

Ate at Mel's Almost Famous Smokehouse a couple days ago. The steak was great. Pulled pork and BBQ ribs were OK. The waitstaff was very friendly. They don't have the kids room anymore, however, the dance floor is still there.
