Getting to Tigertail Beach by public transportation

I have a group of 18 people. We are staying at the Olde Marco Inn and Suites. I want to get the group to the beach leaving at about 2:30. Is this possible?

Try, Ok taxi 239-394-1113 or classic cab 239-394-1888, they have good size passenger vans.

Good luck, make sure to say hi to Tony at the beach hut, ask about the long snout river chickens

I don't remember from memory .. if there is a place outside Tigertail for you to drop off people from the vans. If you go through the gate, without a resident pass it is $8.

I would de-van a little past the Park on the road and let people off. The road is not very busy, But if you have lots of toys you will need to pay the $8 to drop off and $8 pick up.

Not true, it's a day pass that can be used at either location on the island. It's $8.00 for the day and I believe they now do some sort of hourly rate.

Hardley, you may be right on the $8 per day ... but I have never paid by the hour at Tigertail.

Here is the County link ... it doesn't talk about either issue.

"226 parking spaces including 8 hourly parking spaces/6 handicap parking

There is an 8.00 daily beach parking fee for non-beach parking permit holders.

Hourly parking is 1.50 per hour."

Taken from the Collier County government webpage

You can pay by the hour. We always pay the $8.00 daily fee, but both are options.

Check with the Marco Island Trolley - I am pretty sure they stop at Old Marco and if they do not already have a scheduled beach stop, maybe you can work something out with them for your group.
