To book in UK or USA?

Hi there, just wanted anyone's opinion on weather it is better to book car hire before we leave UK or wait until we arrive at miami airport, not only from the cost point of view but more really from insurance point of view, what you need to be covered for without being ripped off as such.

Thank you

You need to book in the UK as the cost for the insurance at the airport is exorbitant. Look on carhire3000 and uscarrental.co.uk as these include all insurances.

The Yanks have a different way of doing insurance on hire cars, they are covered via their credit cards, if you book in the UK you can have it added on up front

Try www.travelsupermarket.com. Put in your requirements & it will give you a list of UK sites where you will find the best deals. Used Carhire3000 this year found them very good.

All should note that most UK agencies seem to book cars thru Dollar/Thrifty car rental company which seems to list lower daily & weekly rates than the other major companies; but they make up for it with a $7.00 a day nick for "pre-paid" all inclusive tolls which is more than most visitors could possibly incur.
