Drive to South Beach & avoid cashless toll

Hi

Travelling down to Miami South Beach from Orlando on Wednesday and want to avoid the cashless part of the toll. Any ideas of the best way to go? Thanks :-)

There are no cashless tolls from Orlando to South Beach. Take the turnpike south (all those tolls will have a booth person) to Okeechobee and then hop on I-95 south. When you get to Miami there is one lane express lane that is cashless on the left side but there are plenty of signs so you can avoid it by staying in the other 4 lanes that are free.

Great, thanks. On all the toll booths here in Orlando they have signs to say if you are driving to Miami & the Keys the tolls are cashless so we just wanted to check.

On Paper it sounds easy... You can search out a route and print it out in advance that shows toll free driving. It's not difficult to drive through a cashless toll!

We don't have printing access at the villa. If we inadvertently go on the cashless toll it's not the end of the world!

Actually quite easy - The Turnpike and I-95 come together very close in the Stuart area. Actually you can see I-95 from the Turnpike and vice versa. Just take the Stuart exit and head down to Miami on I-95. Follow signs for Miami Beach from there.

Just one note: Avoid rush hour (either morning or evening) on I-95. The extra tolls on the Turnpike are well worth it at that time of day (at least for me)
