6 Hours in Miami

Our cruise will dock in Miami early in the morning and our flight isn't until 5 that afternoon. We plan to take a taxi from the port to the airport and check in our luggage, then head somewhere for the day. We have about 6 hours. Two Questions:

1. Is this best option for our luggage? (We're on NCL.)

2. Where should we go? What should we do? We thought South Beach, but would love some advice!

Thanks!

Check with your airline and or the cruise line, some offer the option of checking in your bags(for a fee of course) in from the ship.

What time of year is this trip ? During the summer its best to have a back up plan in case you need to seek shelter from the weather. Plenty to see/do on South Beach.

Thanks, objets! Already checked with the cruise line, but didn't think of the airline at the port! Will definitely do that!

We will be there in 2 weeks...any specific recommendations in South Beach?

Thx!

A taxi from the airport is just under $40 - from the sea port probably under $30 to South Beach.
