miami in Jan/Feb

We stayed on ocean drive a few years ago in april but are considering returning in Jan or Feb next year. I realise the weather is cooler but will it be cold/will there be much sunshine? Also, will the area be too quiet around this period?

When is spring break in the US? Does it have a good party scene at this time? We don't want out of control but do like a bit of liveliness and atmosphere. Would Jan/Feb be too quiet?

Thanks x

We've been to Miami Beach every year last week Jan/first week Feb for the last 10 years and the weather has varied- this year it was in the 80s every day, we have had cooler temperatures by day but it can go down to the 40s at night.

I have never been cold during the day.

It is still busy and it is not yet Spring Break so it's a pretty good time to go.

(Especially when you consider what it's like here!)

We tried visiting SoBe in January this year (instead of our usual Christmas break there). It was certainly quieter than Christmas but we arrived just before the Martin Luther King annual holiday and the comedy event and there were several special events going on - particularly on Lincoln Road and along the boardwalk between the Setail and the new W building works.

It is still as busy as usual on Friday/Saturday nights on Ocean, Collins and Lincoln and you won't be short of clubs to visit. If you're staying in a four star (or above) you might ask your concierge has he got passes for the clubs.
