Pinks and 11th Street Diner, and if you like Cuban/Spanish food there are

Puerto Saega and Davids.

thanks for the suggestion.

If anyone else want to input , please let me know.

Also, any good ice cream or dessert/bakery place for the family ( kids are looking for

that )

If we want to get souvenirs( T shirt, beach bags etc), where would you go for

reasonably priced items ?

Thanks so much again

Other good options for breakfast/lunch are Provence bakery (corner of Lincoln and Collins, next to Walgreens) and Paul bakery (corner of Lincoln and Drexel). These are also good choices for pastries and sandwiches. There is a Hagen Dazs ice cream place on Lincoln just west of Washington Ave, and another one in the 1400 block of Ocean Dr (across from Front Porch cafe). If you happen to find yourself at the south end of south beach, near South Pointe park, I like 4D Gelato at the corner of South Pointe Drive and Washington.South Pointe Park is also a fun place for children of all ages, if you go between 5 and 5:30 PM you can watch the big cruise ships depart (in summers -Friday to Monday only), plus a great sunset view later.

Ice Box cafe is another good dessert choice (on Michigan just off Lincoln Rd).

For souvenirs, hard to avoid the 100 or so Surf Style, Wings and other similar shops in south beach. Walgreens and CVS also carry them.

SoBeAddict is right on! Davids at 11th/Collins and Puerto Sagua at 7th/Collins both feature excellent and authentic Cuban food, generous portions and very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the other Davids, on Meridian near Lincoln Road, is no more.

You can get good reasonable American food at Books & Books Cafe on Lincoln Road, also Big Pink near 2nd anmd Collins, or maybe Washington, I forget which.

Hi, thanks for all the output so far.

As far as souvenirs, the Surf style or Wings are they names of shops?

Yes, "Surf & Style", "Wings", "Alvin's Island" are all big souvenir shops, the first has many branches. You can sometimes get souvenirs for less (though less variety) at Walgreens and CVS.
