Looking for hotel in Miami Beach but not SoBe

We are looking for a family-friendly hotel on the beach in Miami Beach, but prefer not to be in South Beach (bc of noise, etc). I would appreciate any suggestions. We plan on trying to book a suite room. Our VRBO fell through so now we are scrambling for early January.

thanks.

We are staying here in March:

http://www.thepalmshotel.com/

It is on 30th St. which is above the typical SOBE area.

Check rates at the Grand Beach Resort.

The Mondrian is gorgeous & on the quieter west side of town and is featured on vrbo.com

vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/…mondrian

and the beachfront Hilton is also on Vrbo

You could try Grand Beach Hotel- beachfront, has nice family suites, 48th street and Collins so further away from the craziness of SoBe yet close enough to visit.

Hope this helps! Enjoy
