planning a trip to orlando with kids and then on to naples

Hi we are going to a family wedding in naples in Jan 21st and we have 2 boys, 3 and 7, so we are planning on going to orlando and disney enroute.

What is the cheapest way to get their? do we go Miami for the wedding and drive to orlando afterwards?

Any help with planning this trip would be appreciated.

thanks

ger

It sounds like you are going to Orlando first as you mention "Disney en route". I don't know much about flights from/to Ireland, but your easiest trip would be to fly to Orlando for Disney, then drive (about 4 hours) to Naples. For return trip home, Ft Myers is closest airport to Naples. If they don't have good flights (I doubt if there is a non-stop to Ireland), you could try Fort Lauderdale or Miami (a madhouse) -- each is about a 2 hour drive from Naples.

If you want to come to Naples first-- then fly into Ft Myers, Fort Lauderdale or Miami first, then drive to Orlando and fly home from there.

Hi,

Have look at the routes quoted previously either via Fort Myers or Fort Lauderdale. We have done Miami its not the best, this year we are flying into Tampa via Newark from Manchester with continental which is mid way between both Naples and Orlando they are really cheap might be worth looking at the Continental site or asking for a quote......Laura

Have a look at Aer Lingus. They fly direct from dublin to orlando on a tuesday thursday and saturday. With small children may be better than your options with other airlines were you will have to stopover in london new york etc. We are going in november to orlando and then driving unto fort myers beach using this service. Flights times would be good aswell for travelling with children. Prices not to bad 174.00 euro each way at the moment.

Aer Lingus is showing Orlando - Dublin $319 each way

Would opt for the non-stop flight to Orlando and then drive to Naples.

When my cousins come from Eire they do the Aer Lingus direct to Orlando and hit the parks for a few days and then I go up and pick them up. They hate driving on the "wrong" side of the road.

That is by far the most cost effective in terms of dollars and time. Then they go back for a few more days of the parks and fly home from Orlando.

BRILLIANT!
