Blue Springs State Park in Orange City, FL had plenty of manatees last week still...they start migrating out to the gulf once weather gets warmer, but there still should be some there mid March. It's a beautiful park. You can also snorkle with the manetees in the Crytstal River area on the Gulf coast near Homassasa, FL if that interest you. It's not too pricey, I think about $75 a person once you rent the wet suit and snorkle.

Blue Spring State Park is an excellent suggestion. floridastateparks.org/bluespring/default.cfm

This web cam allows you to see them before you go. floridastateparks.org/bluespring/default.cfm

Just to make sure you will not be disappointed, phone them before you go and ask a ranger if the manatees are still "in".

De Leon Springs State Park just north of DeLand is another location you can look for manatees.

Hi there. A great spot is down in Bethune Beach. Continue south on S. Atlantic Avenue to Kingfish Street (I think). Take a right and you will see a parking lot next to a beach volleyball court. There is a boardwalk there where in the early evening at least one dolphin usually comes to feed in a small bay. There is also usually some manatees in the area.

Hope you have a great trip to NSB!!

We used to live in Bethune Beach and the manatees are their pretty much year around in that little cove across from the ocean front park and down behind the tennis courts. You can rent kayaks from J.B.'s Fish camp and paddle back up to the cove and get a closer look, but it's illegal to touch them or harass them so beware. They are gentle giants and are very protected. This is a great spot to see them as well as dolphins.
