I did it - we had a welcome meeting there. After the meeting ( we left after 5 mins of that drivel) you could go round the park.

I thought it was really thought provoking and would make you want to do China ... eventually. Some of the exhibits showed what a mind blowing place it is.

It was an exhibition of all their historic places of interest createdin model form on a tiny scale. It might sound naff but we really enjoyed it ... for a morning.

Would we have paid to see this - no

Did it get very hot - yes

Did we go back again - no

... then it was gone forever.

My vote is obviously for the best experience that Orlando could offer but it closed months before we got there -

Gay Days at Walt Disney World

For a few days each year the global spell of Disney magic is cast upon gays, lesbians and their families as the theme park itself, Universal Studios, Sea World and Busch Gardens open their doors for rides, movie mania and lots of parties. This year the big day is Saturday, with other events on the few days either side.

When: May - Jun 2007 (annual) Where: Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World

In my "wished I'd skipped" category:

Stitches Great Escape also (Magic Kingdom),

Jungle Cruise (Magic Kingdom),

Sounds Dangerous (Drew Carey at MGM),

Ellen's Universe of Energy (Epcot),

Back to the Future (Universal),

Hulk Coaster, only because of the migraine it gave me (IOA)

Can't think of anything I want to do in Orlando that I've not yet done.

Vegas - we went to Tupperware Museum in '92... We were on our honeymoon and had a running joke with my maid of honour so went there to get pictures for her. The scary, scary part was a man videotaping his wife throughout the place.

I do have a lot of Tupperware but wouldn't recommend visiting if it reopened.

Thank you for this "wish you skipped" and "wish you had not skipped" since I am going in the fall!

Wish I had not skipped:

Soarin', I went in June and the line was so long we skipped it. Went back in August and decided to wait, it was worth every minute, you feel like you're flying.

Disney Quest, heard it was lots of fun.

Wish I had skipped:

Stiches Great Escape

The American Adventure
