Hi phil,

Yeh the iphone is much cheeper in the states more because you can buy one without getting a contract.

they are $399 in the apple stores, cant see them droping the price much more for the time being.

The cost to buy one in the UK is £269 for the phone then you must sign up to the exclusive o2 18month contract which start at £35 per month for a measly 200mins and 200 txts. scandelous if you ask me.

i bought one from the florida malls apple store brought it home got some unlocking software off the internet for 39.99 and bam it works with any sim namely my orange one. there are a few small issues regarding itunes updates but evrything is explained with the unlocking software do a little research before you buy is my advice but as i said in an earlier post i love mine fantastic piece of kit.

if you like the ipod you will love the iphone..

Stop over in China on your way here ... I understand they already have knock offs, LOL - ought to be cheaper.
