Downtown Disney hotels

Will be down for four days just for my guys to play golf. We were at Disney for Christmas so not sure if I am even going into the parks, so would like to stay somewhere different, but close to DD. Any suggestions for a nice place that won't break the bank? Would like to be able to walk to DD if possible. Thanks!

I've heard good things about that Doubletree on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Might be one of the less expensive options on that road as well.

doubletree and the Hilton are both terrific. and the Holiday Inn looks like (gasp), it actually may open!

Yes, the Holiday Inn may actually open this year, but I don't believe it's schedule to do so before fall.
