bus shuttles from fairfield inn mariott village to parks.

does any one know the times that the free shuttles run from the disney parks back to the fairfield inn LBV? I am going to be booking just one disney restaurant in each of the theme parks and would like to know that if we ate at five for example, we wouldnt have to hang around till late to catch the shuttle bus back if we didnt want to.

Our kids will be 5 and 8,has anyone got recomendations for restaurants for MK,EPCOT,ANIMAL KINGDOM,MGM(we are only doing one restuarant for a treat in each park, the rest of the time we are going to do places out with disney nearer our hotel)

If you book dinner at 5:00 PM, I'm sure there will be a later shuttle you can ride back, but don't know if you'll be able to stay until park closing.

For M.K., I suggest Crystal Palace as it's a character meal with Pooh and Friends.

For Epcot, it's depends on if you want a cuisine from one of the countries and which one. There's a character meal at Garden Grill for dinner.

For Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM), I like 50's Prime Time Cafe. Sci Fi is great for atmosphere, but the food is not very good. If you want the Fantasmic dinner package, go for Hollywood & Vine.

Animal Kingdom has only one dinner table service place, Yak & Yeti, but you could also choose Rainforest Cafe just outside the park entrance.

The Marriott Village has two other hotels in the complex together with the Fairfield Inn (which was recently rennovated very nicely).

Continenal breakfast, internet, and on-site parking are complimentary for the Fairfield; however, the park shuttle is not.

It is operated by Mears which is the predominant transportation company in the area. The shuttle is a bus and services all three hotels in the complex departing from the same spot near the small food court. The cost is currently $7 per person round trip and free for children under 4 years.

The return schedule varies based on park closing times and you would need to verify the day's schedule with Mears Guest Service which has a desk on-site (across from the food court) from 7am to 9pm. They can also arrange your return airport transfer. (Mears cabs are usually waiting in front of the hotels).

Currently, the regular times are as follows. These are the depart times. You want to arrive 5 - 10 mins. ahead for boarding.

HS

Leave - 8 and 10 am

Return - 4:15, 6:15 and 7:15 pm

Depending on hours also 8:15, 9:15, 10:15, 11:15 pm , 1am

EPCOT

Leave - 9 and 10 am

Return - 5:45 pm

Depending on hours also 8:45, 9:45, 10:45 pm

Animal Kingdom

Leave - 8 and 9 am

Return - 4:45, 6:45 pm

Magic Kingdom

Leave - 8, 9, 10 am

Return - 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 pm

Depending on hours also 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 pm, 12:45 am

I believe they may share the shuttle at times. For example, if you get on at 8 am for the Magic Kingdom there is a chance that it will stop at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom first.

If the return is not convenient with your dinner time, you could always take the free Disney transportation to Downtown Disney and get a taxi back to the hotel...or a taxi directly from the park to your hotel. A taxi from DD or EPCOT would be the cheapest fare though I would say.

Staying in the same hotel complex, the idea of travelling via Down Town Disney did occur. Would I be right in thinking Down Town Disney is connected by the transport system to all the resorts only? . Then it's simply a matter of using a bus/ monorail/ walk from the resort to the park you need?

Also looking the taxi fare from Down Town Disney to the Marriott Village looks like being around $10 plus is walkable in under an hour along paved pavement.
