Best to buy here. Good exchange rates online for cash and Travellers cheques at Crown Currency or Travel Money services if you buy ahead. Rate now is better than it's been for a while.

There are a lot of write ups on moneysupermarket.com as well as plenty of posts on here, just do a search and you will be able to read plenty.

The best place to change money is here before you go not in Orlando. Crown Currency is offering a rate of 1.6150 for August.

If you have a debit card that doesn't charge too much in conversion fees or ATM fees, then that is a good way to go as well, but you need to call them to check their fees. If you go this route, I would suggest you getr some dollars in cash for the first 3 days or so, and I'd bring a Credit card for emergencies and extra spending if needed.

As an amateur insomniac (!) I maneged to catcht eh world business report on BBC news at 5 o'clock on Sunday morning. They reported that the market were getting ready for a run on the dollar so rates could go even higher.

Still cant decide when to buy though!!!!!!

Don't forget that IF the BBC are right - then if you buy your $$$ ahead from Crown or anybody similar then you are tied into that rate. But of course IF the BBC were wrong then that guarantee is a benefit. Trouble is nobody can guarantee which way the market will go. A couple of weeks back Crown sent an email claiming the £ may be devalued, now we hear the $ will weaken.

Buy your money from here, at a rate you're happy with from a source you're happy with.
