To get the dining plan You have to stay onsite at Disneyresort- in a package that at least one day of ticket is inclusive in that package. So if You stay onsite and buy only one days worth You can buy tickets from undercover, but then I am not sure how much You will save with doing that since You already has one day tickets which is the most expensive one

The short answer is NO

As Mutter has said, you need to Book a Package Deal from Disney that includes at least a 3 night night stay at a Disney Resort and includes at least a 1 day Park Ticket

www.wdwinfo.com has all the Disney Package Plans available

If you are thinking of going Oct - Dec, you can get the Dining Plan Free :)

If you are staying on Points, you can't take advantage of the Dining Plan. It can only be added as Part of a Package

You can eat at any Restaurant you want but you can't simply add the Dining Plan

elizabeth,

The Disney Dining Plan is not available as an a la carte item. It is available ONLY as part of a Disney resort package (unless you are an Annual Passholder or a DVC owner staying on points ... if you don't know what these are, then they don't apply to you).

In other words, having a reservation at a Disney resort just isn't enough to qualify you to buythe DIsney Dining Plan. You must be staying there as part of a "package." Disney defines a "package" as a combination of resort + park ticket.

When you book a Disney resort package that includes the Disney Dining Plan, you can buy any size ticket you want ... it can be a 1-day base ticket ($79 + tax) or a 10-day No Expiration Park Hopper with Water Park Fun & More ($556 + tax).

Telling Disney that you already bought park tickets through an authorized reseller such as Undercover Tourist will NOT help you qualify for the DDP. DIsney is very very strict with the policy that the DDP is available only as part of a package.

As was already correctly pointed out to you, you can buy your tickets through UT if you also buy a 1-day ticket as part of your Disney resort package, but that doing to is an unncessary expense that would likely negate any savings you will realize through the DDP versus paying for meals out-of-pocket.

partypa,

DVC members staying on points qualify to purchase the DDP, but they do not qualify for any free Disney Dining Plan promotion.

In fact, DVC members who pay cash for their stay (rather than using their points) still qualify to purchase the DDP as long as they make the reservation through DVC Member Services.

Right, sorry, have forgotten that perk was added. AP holders can also add the Plan. AP holders can take advantage of the Free DP as long as they buy at least that 1 day ticket too

So many rules to keep up with :(

ok...to add more confusion-can you add the dining plan if you "rent" through a DVC owner. If you purchase their points, and they book the room for you in your name-can that person get you the dining plan-or do you have to buy the disney park tickets too to make it a "package"?

Actually, now I have heard that when you stay at the Villas you do not have to purchase any park tickets at all and can just purchase the dining plan. Does anyone know if this is true?
