What's your favorite grown-up restaurant?

We are NOT going near the Disney parks this time, just SW and US, and our place is very convenient to I-drive and also the Dr. Phillips area.

Last trip we went to (and enjoyed) Roy's, Capital Grille, and Bahama Breeze. We're looking for new ideas this time - maybe a steak and an Italian?

I've looked at Timpanos, Chatham's and Vito's but they all get really mixed reviews.

Any suggestions appreciated. I'd like to avoid the really major chains because we can go there anytime, but sort of a "just Florida" chain is ok.

What about one of the Emeril's at Universal or The Palm.

For Italian we like Cafe D'Antonio in Celebration. They have one on Sand Lake too.

For romantic and wonderful food, try Ciao Italia Italian Ristorante at 6149 Westwood Blvd (corner of I Dr and Westwood) www.ciaoitaliaonline.com.

A Land Remembered at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort is a great steakhouse, ask for a table facing west and watch the beautiful sunset!!

Primo by Melissa Kelley at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in another wonderful Italian restaurant-Fabulous atmosphere!! (www.grandelakes.com)

Thank you both, these are some great new choices I had not come across before.

Any suggestion for an alternative to Roy's - not just Japanese or sushi, but more Asian fusion like his place?

We were going to go to his main Citiwalk restaurant for lunch but I'll check that out for an alternative - I think there's some transporation from US to the hotels so you don't have to move your car?

Yes, you can walk to the hotels or you can grab a boat from Citywalk.
