Inexpensive Places To Eat Near Disney/Downtown Disney Area

Looking to find some non Disney, inexpensive places for lunch and dinner. Trying to reduce our food budget for our trip. Any other money saving tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Will you have a car ?

Have you looked at all the Counter Service Options on Disney Property ? Many portions are quite a good size and can easily be shared. Some of our favourites include the Resort Food Courts :)

Crossroads Shopping center is said to be about a 15 - 20 min. walk from DTD and is full of options, Sweet Tomatoes being our favourite.

Yes, we will have our car - we are driving down from South Carolina. Is there a Pizza Hut, Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill nearby?

Thanks!

There are many restaurants near the Disney area which are relatively low cost and still offer great food. I would recommend Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden, Steak and Shake, Macaroni Grill, Earl of Sandwich, Five Guys, Carrabas these are just a few and all have locations relatively close to the Disney Area.

We have visited Disney over 10 times in the past few years. I am always looking for a way to save money on our trips. Truthfully, I would go with counter service dining on the days you are visiting the parks, it will save you a lot of time in travel in and out of the parks to go off of property to eat--especially at the Magic Kingdom, you could face an hour just to get off of Disney property. Counter service is usually only a little more expensive than eating at a typical fast food restaraunt off of property, and the servings are always large. Often, we will share a counter service meal. You are also allowed to bring your own food and drinks into parks now, and we will bring items in sometimes to snack between meals.

If you drive down the 192 there are loads of inexpensive restaurants to choose from.

At the CrossRoads (Apopka-Vineland Rd/Hwy 535) which is very near Downtown Disney are several places to eat, Flippers Pizza makes a great pizza for after the parks meal. There is also Chevy's Mexican Resturant, Buffalo Bills Wings, Sweet Tomatoes, Taco Bell and Pizza Uno. I agree with most, for you to come out of the park for lunch would really take a lot out of your day. There are also several places at Downtown Disney that would be great dining options...Earl of Sandwich is one!
